Our travels and adventures. Walk in the sun near our home

Efter en vecka med ner till -32 grader var det skönt att komma ut på en promenad i solen. Bara -18 idag så det gick bra att vara ute en stund.  Vi tog en promenad till Mariehemsängarna här i Umeå. en av min frus favoritplatser.  

After a week with down to -32 degrees, it was nice to get out for a walk in the sun. Only -18 today so it was good to be outside for a while. We took a walk to Mariehemsängarna here in Umeå. One of my wife's favorite places.

Vi brukar promenera ned till tron över bäcken och titta på Gräsänderna. Ibland får de något att äta men idag hade de nyss fått mat av någon när vi kom dit. Det låg lite på broräcket som vi kastade ned till dem. 

We usually walk down to the throne over the stream and look at the mallards. Sometimes they get something to eat but today they had just been fed by someone when we got there. It was lying on the railing of the bridge that we threw down to them.

Det var vackert i solen och glittrade fint inalla kristaller i snön och isen. 

It was beautiful in the sun and glittered nicely in all the crystals in the snow and ice.

När vi kom hem blev det våfflor till lunch med hemgjord sylt på bären vi plockade i höst och en ordentlig klick grädde. Inte dumt. 

When we got home we had waffles for lunch with homemade jam on the berries we picked this fall and a good dollop of cream. Not bad.
